current setup (as of March 2016)

  • mail delivery - getmail via IMAP with maildrop for filtering/filing into local subfolders
  • mail reading/writing - mu4e in emacs
  • sending - from within emacs using smtpmail (and smtpmail-stream-type 'ssl)
