- | ==== the Guild for Reality Integrators and Generators ====
- | |||
- | gRig is a guild with the common pursuit of integrating and generating realities. It is an ecological guild - a group of species that have similar requirements and play a similar role within our community. It is a guild for: (1) Those who generate realities: bringing that which can be actually experienced into existence; (2) Those who integrate realities: combining one world (or state of affairs) with another so that they may become whole.
- | |||
- | |||
- | Due to its curious and convoluted past, it is not known who the previous guild members were and what their exact roles have been within the guild. It is one of the tasks of the current members to dig up the history of the guild, as there is a rich genealogy that could be more widely recognised. A few people who have left records that lead us to think they were somehow involved with the guild include:
- | |||
- | * the writer Jorge Louis Borges
- | * the mystic Hildegard von Bingen
- | * the inventor Buckminster Fuller
- | * the mysterious painter Remedios Varo
- | * the director Hayao Miyazaki
- | * the possible portrait artist of the guild - Max Ernst
- | * the pirate utopist Hakim Bey
- | * the academic Alister Crowley or mountaineer Oscar Eckenstein
- | * the Flying Spaghetti Monster
- | * the mathematician Kurt Gödel (possibly through Cantor)
- | * the scientist Charles Babbage and his student Ada, &c.
- | |||
- | This list is far from complete and might not be completely accurate. If you are aware of any other members or activities of the guild, please contact the current guild coordinators at info@fo.am.
