One of our main objectives in presenting our taxonomy has been to clarify a number of terminology issues, in order that apparently unrelated developments being carried out by, among others, VR developers, computer scientists and (tele)robotics engineers can now be placed within a single framework, which will allow comparison of the essential similarities and differences between various research endeavours.”
