This is a list of some prominant open acess (OA) journals.

This list is of course not exhaustive, and is mainly based on a ranking made in 2009 by a blogger of all the open access journals according to their impact factor (IF). Because this factor is highly discipline-dependent, we created five different categories and took the journals with the highest scores in each category.

All the journals listed here can be accessed via the DOAJ portal (Directory of Open Acces Journals), which also proposes a basic search engine.
